REALLY RAISY
If this is your first visit to 2R at Queen Elizabeth Public School, then we welcome you. If you've been here before, then we welcome you back. Join us to discover what 2R is up to for APRIL.
NEWS IN AN EGGSHELL
2R has busily "buzzed" their way into a fresh, rejuvenating spring season. Our collection of thoughts, ideas and humour have "blossomed" into a wonderful beginning for third term.
The superkids are certainly growing in every
way! They are acquiring many skills and ideas. They continue to
express a steadfast enthusiasm to learn even more! The load is not
destined to be lighter - just different! However, enjoyment is
forever at the essence of our learning!
All aspects of the 2R program are
"blooming" under a variety of topics.
"Munch A Bunch of Munsch for Lunch"
This
includes discovering Robert
Munsch, a Canadian author, who
provides pint-sized humour and laughter through
literature.
"Write-On"
This
includes focusing on writing
creatively using compound
sentences, an assortment of awesome adjectives and a variety of
sentence
types. 2R will be writing recipes,
postcards, lists, letters, invitations, cartoons and even adventure
stories.
"You Never Give Me You Money"
This
includes naming, identifying, counting and estimating
Canadian
money. Please encourage your child
to play with any loose change you may have lying around the house.
"Sharing and Caring"
This includes our monthly oral presentation entitled "Talent Time". It is your child's chance to share his/her talent with the class. A talent is ANYTHING special that your child can do. Be sure to have fun and help your child discover his/her talent. If you're really stuck...create a talent! A detailed outline will be coming your way soon. WATCH FOR IT!
"O'Canada"
...our
home and native land. The students in 2R will discover that the world
contains many countries, including Canada.
2R is blessed with children from a variety of ethnic backgrounds.
This is the perfect opportunity for the students to discover their
own heritage through a project entitled "Features
of Communities Around The World." A
detailed outline will be sent your way.
Be sure to continue on to QUICK BUZZINGS!
